My Saints Rants Blog notice(which nobody but Michelle herself looked at) combined with my feature player assignment for Drew Brees (see, JWD does know best, even if he is a pain in the ass)combined with my added aggression (improvement the way I see it) to the Sean Payton letter written by Shanika over at Chicks in the Huddle actually WORKED and helped in the break through of this seemingly illusive and difficult 2007 season. The offense looked like a 2006 Saints offense (mostly because of protection for Drew Brees) and the defense went back to their not great, but considerably better than the start of the season way of playing well enough to win.
I am worried about that pass defense though. We shouldn’t be nervous at all even as Saints fans in a 28-10 game at halftime. We need to hope for better defense to close out games and our offense to keep protecting Drew Brees and making big plays if we want our season to turn around.

Dude, there was some freaky pas coverage going on out there most of the game. Should it have been that scary when Seattle only had ONE of their starting receivers left? Scary.
At this point, just trying to focus on the W. Let’s savor this moment, as sadly we can’t say with confidence when it will happen again.
